History of Georg Holek Cup till 2008

Georg Holek was initiator of regular games between German and Czech veteran rugby teams but his vision led him further to the idea to organise regularly big European rugby veterans tournaments on rotary basis.

He spent a lot of efforts to implement his dream which has finally came true and thanks to his successors, his old friends as well as new participants and last but not least, especially thanks to his wife Edeltraud - this European tournament is still alive under his name - Georg Holek Cup...

We are proud that we hosted 6th Georg Holek Cup in 2008 on the occasion of 20 years of Old Boys Praha and the whole Czech Rugby Veterans and Oldies Movement in Prague, Czech Republic...
